Opportunities
As a non-profit organization, the Center for Personal & Relational Development offer employment that includes clinical, professional, and marketing support & opportunities for licensed and pre-licensed (MFT Interns and ASW’s) as well as to highly qualified non-license-track therapists (as permitted by the BBS under Necessity of a License).
Our therapists are able to practice wherever they have clients, and you may obtain supervision from existing CPRD-supervisors or from a supervisor of your own choosing, assuming the supervisor is both qualified and amenable to the CPRD Supervisor Policy.
Our application process involves the following steps:
- Attendance of the Information for Interns workshop (offered quarterly)
- Submission of Resume & Cover Letter
- Completion of our online application (this is made available to those who have attended the workshop)
- Interview with the Clinical Director (other CPRD administrative and/or clinical staff may also be present for the interview.)
- Reference checks
- Contracting as needed
Because we comply with California Labor Laws (which is extremely rare in our industry) along with those set forth by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, and because we operate on client revenue almost exclusively, therapists who will be coming in with clients of their own are given priority.
You can be proactive in helping us hire therapists who are just starting out by finding and connecting us with donors to contribute to a fund designated specifically for the launch of new interns and associate social workers.
